Reverse Clock

On this clock the numbers run the other way and the hands move counter-clockwise. If you read it like a normal clock you will get it wrong. Read the hands and work out the true time.

How to play

1. Pick a difficulty and press Start. There are 10 questions.
2. A reverse clock appears. The short hand is the hour, and the long green hand is the minute.
3. Choose the correct time from four options before time runs out.
4. After you answer, the game also shows what the time would look like if you read it like a normal clock.

Three difficulties

• Easy: times in 5-minute steps, with numbers. 20 seconds each.
• Normal: times in 1-minute steps, with numbers. 15 seconds each.
• Demon: times in 1-minute steps, no numbers. Read from the tick marks alone. 10 seconds each.

Scoring and ranks

A correct answer earns 50 to 100 points depending on the time left. Wrong answers and timeouts earn 0. The maximum is 1,000 points over 10 questions, with ranks from "Lost in time" to "Reverse-clock master".

Tips

• Read the minutes first. Read the long hand by its tick marks rather than the numbers.
• Count the numbers backwards. The number to the left of 12 is 1, then 2 next to it.
• Beware of tricky options. The time you would get by reading it like a normal clock is deliberately included among the options.

Why do the hands run backwards?

It is a normal clock seen in a mirror. In a mirror both the numbers and the hands run the other way.

Does it distinguish AM and PM?

No. You answer with the 12-hour time.
