Lying Traffic Light
The color of the light and the word written on it do not match. Read the rule, "Follow the COLOR" or "Follow the WORD", and quickly choose STOP, CAUTION or GO.
How to play
- Pick a difficulty and press Start. There are 20 questions.
- The rule "Follow the COLOR" or "Follow the WORD" is shown at the top.
- Follow the rule: red means STOP, yellow means CAUTION, blue means GO. Press the matching button before time runs out.
- If the light is red but the word says BLUE, STOP is correct when following the color, and GO when following the word.
Three difficulties
- Easy: always "Follow the COLOR". 3 seconds each.
- Normal: the rule switches between COLOR and WORD every 5 questions. 2.5 seconds each.
- Demon: the rule is random every time. 1.6 seconds each.
Scoring and ranks
A correct answer earns 30 to 100 points depending on the time left. Wrong answers and timeouts earn 0. The maximum is 2,000 points over 20 questions, with ranks from "Jaywalker" to "Signal god".
Tips
- Read the rule first. Check it before you look at the light.
- Ignore what you are not following. When following the color, blank out the word, and the other way around.
- Watch out right after the rule changes. On Normal, questions 6, 11 and 16 are where mistakes happen.
FAQ
Are there questions where color and word match?
Occasionally. Then both rules give the same answer.
Why is it so hard?
